Preview sound is muted by default

When I click the Preview button while editing a demo using autoplay, the sound seems to be muted by default, forcing me to quickly tap the unmute button to hear the voiceover. Inevitably, I am not fast enough and end up missing the first phrase of the voiceover. Is there a way to change this behavior, e.g. a setting to unmute playback by default?
